In March & April 2008, a referendum on mandatory RTA passes for all graduate students will occur. The vote will occur online and will be open for 4 weeks. The mandatory pass plan proposed by the RTA is $25/semester. There will be 3 semesters, Spring, Fall, and Summer for a total of $75/year.

RTA Pass Savings


RTA pass program will cost: 6.25/month

  • Everyday riders will save: $681/year

  • Several times/week riders will save: $289-471/year

  • Once/week riders will save: $107/year

  • Once/month riders will spend $33 more/year.

    One will need to ride the RTA more than 22 roundtrips in a year to end up saving money on pass (1 ride per 2.36 weeks)
