END OF THE YEAR UPDATE: This committee is largely an activist group that organizes and sponsors events around the campus that relate to current events or relevant topics that merit heightened community awareness. Examples include:
• A variety of open forums for the campus community to attend and discuss topics ranging from “Should Cell Phones be Banned in Class?”to a discussion of the impact of a black man and a white woman being front-running candidates for the Presidency.
• A week’s worth of events to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr.
• And other activities in alignment with the committee’s stated purpose…
